The EFCC Head of Operation in the zone, Alhaji Aminu Ado Aliyu, disclosed this while addressing newsmen yesterday at the office of the Correspondents’ Chapel in Gombe, saying in the last ten months, the commission also received and treated 143 petitions and secured five convictions in the zone which comprises Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Plateau and Taraba states.

In Borno State, the EFCC has recovered over N199 millions for the federal government and individual victims since it began operations at its Maiduguri zonal office in November 2015, the zonal head of operations, Ibrahim Bappa said, explaining that the Commission still had many cases undergoing investigation.

“The resumption of operations came as a priority under the new leadership of Ibrahim Mustapha Magu, as the Commission is poised to drive its vision, mission and objectives to greater heights,” Bappa said in a statement issued in Maiduguri yesterday.
